Dr. Sheryl Salaris is a board-certified psychiatrist in St. Louis with more than 25 years of experience providing psychiatric evaluation and medication management. At Open Arms Wellness, she treats patients from late adolescence through adulthood, supporting those facing depression, anxiety, ADHD and attention disorders, bipolar disorder, and psychosis. Dr. Salaris is committed to creating a safe, collaborative space where individuals feel understood and supported in their journey toward greater stability and mental well-being.

Dr. Salaris completed her medical degree at Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis, followed by psychiatry residency training at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania and a fellowship in forensic psychiatry at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine. She has also served in leadership roles across hospitals, public health organizations, and national health plans, giving her a broad perspective on delivering high-quality, accessible mental health care.

At Open Arms Wellness, Dr. Salaris partners with each patient to determine whether psychiatric medication management may be helpful—either as a stand-alone treatment or combined with therapy and counseling. She collaborates closely with therapists and nurse practitioners to provide integrated, personalized treatment plans. Dr. Salaris believes meaningful change comes when patients actively engage in their own healing, and she is dedicated to helping people build resilience, hope, and lasting recovery.
