Meet Ashley Meyer, LPC, RPT - Empowering Children and Teens to Heal, Grow, and Thrive

Hi, I’m Ashley Meyer, a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) and Registered Play Therapist (RPT) with over 11 years of experience helping children and adolescents overcome challenges, build resilience, and reach their fullest potential. I believe that every child is capable of growth when given the right tools, encouragement, and a safe space to express themselves.

Whether your child is experiencing anxiety, depression, behavioral difficulties, trauma, or struggling with school or peer relationships, I offer a warm, supportive environment where they can feel heard, understood, and empowered. My approach blends creativity, compassion, and evidence-based techniques to support your child in learning how to cope, connect, and thrive.

What I Offer

I specialize in child and adolescent therapy using developmentally appropriate, creative, and relationship-based approaches:

  • Play Therapy & Sandplay – Helping children express and process emotions through play, a natural medium for communication and healing.
  • Filial Therapy – Strengthening the parent-child bond through therapeutic play techniques involving caregivers.
  • Person-Centered & Strength-Based Therapy – Centering the child’s voice and building upon their natural strengths.
  • Trauma-Informed & Culturally Sensitive Care – Honoring each child’s unique experiences, identity, and family background.

  • Peer & School-Related Challenges – Addressing academic pressures, bullying, and social anxiety.
  • Self-Harming & Suicidal Ideation – Providing early intervention with compassion and safety.
  • Teen Violence & Trauma Recovery – Supporting healing from abuse, neglect, or violence exposure.
